They were pretty good. Had an Arctic Monkeys/garage rock vibe - not bad. The mix between the players was perfect and the singer (Nicky?) had a perfect voice for the music; a gravelly, almost tube-driven bellow not unlike Roger Waters.
However the two bands they played with were horrible. Nate's band played in between these two:

The first band "Hey Hi Hello" (really, that's the name you guys came up with? Were you rubbing dick tips together when you all came upon that gem of a name?) was just ridiculously poppy - like, One Tree Hill soundtrack poppy. These kids smiled when the played. That's fucking weak. They weren't very loud either. That's also fucking weak. Their drummer played only half the time; the rest of the beats were electronic. Weak, weak WEAK!
I ended up getting really drunk by the time "Anafair" started playing and yelled "You make my dick soft!" in between two of their songs. Then my girl friend yelled "this shit still sucked 10 years ago!" Then we made for the door as fans didn't seem to take kindly to our comments. I mean, come on, the drummer took his shirt off before they even played one note and the whole band had geometry haircuts (see band pics). That shit was gayer than the volleyball scene in Top Gun.
I should also mention that Lovedrug was the headliner (we left before they played, thank god). Lovedrug is Akron, OH's gift of a tired sounding Radiohead-wannabe band to the world. Boooooooring! I'd wish Michael Shepard would just realize that no matter how many times he changes his band's line up, he isn't doing anyone any favors by being a total pussy.
All in all I was glad I went (and got drunk). It's good to see there's still bands like Sixes and Sevens making Rock n' Roll music.
